Louise Waugh - Painting & Printmaking
I am never without my sketchbook recording things I see whether whilst walking my dog, watching from a train, at an airport or on my travels. From these sketches come my paintings and my ideas, a celebration of the natural world particularly.
I have always been an artist and initially a printmaker which took me to spain where I studied etching in Granada. Now I return to Andalucia as a tutor on painting holidays and enjoy the inspiration of the landscape there but once back I want to paint and draw the deep lanes of west somerset and the roll of the hills and blue distances which I see every day as I drive to to my studio.
