August 2013
Binham Grange Summer Exhibition
10th August to 1st September 2013
10.30am to 5pm every day.
A Box of Delights
Imagine art as a box of chocolates, some highly coloured and decorated, some plain and elegant, some are your favourites, others provoke new experiences and sensations. For the contemporary Summer Exhibition at Binham Grange this year Gallery4Art will present a spacious barn full of art to engage and intrigue the visitor. Each artist will have space to tell a story, to add a fresh dimension to the exhibition where they can display new work and old favourites for people to enjoy. There will be a range of work to suit all budgets from small prints to wall size artworks, delicate ceramics to large animal sculptures. Outdoor sculptures will be displayed in the grounds of Binham Grange. The Grange Restaurant will be serving coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.
The exhibition includes a sound installation derived from Ralph Hoyte’s ‘Romantic Litscape’ for the smartphone (‘creating GPS-triggered audio-ghosts of the Romantic poets actross the Quantocks and North Exmoor’).
This year the artists will include: Doula Aebli - Ceramics / Craig Askew / Diane Burnell - Painting / Leo Davey - Painting & Illustration / Fon Cosens - Willow Work / Melanie Deegan - Sculpture / Bea Hammond - Painting / Angela Holland / Alison Jacobs - Painting / Renee Kilburn - Ceramic Work / Andrew Hobbs - Photography / Rebecca MacPherson / Jim Munnion - Painting & Printmaking / Kerry Tremlett - Printmaking / Rebecca Webber / Nic Wingate - Photography
